My first day on my blog

Yesterday after work I picked up a lovely, Victorian, internal door for our new house. An American lady advertised it on freecycle which I started checking each morning. There is always something interesting but you need to be quick.
The door is solid pine painted in white and needs a lots of LOVE, I will strip the pain off it and put up in our kitchen.
We bought our Victorian town house in October 2009– got used to the word “town house” now – I used to say cottage but it is not a cottage. The ceiling are the highest ceiling I have ever seen in a house. The rooms are big, light and spacious. The whole house feels very airy and fresh. Needs a lot of TLC and money but myself and my husband are very hard working, creative people who are passionate about making the new house our cosy home. The only thing is that we both work full time and hardly ever get a chance to do anything in our house. We moved in at the beginning of November 2009 after having a wall knocked down between two reception rooms. As it is a terraced house we think it was the right thing to do. Since then we only had the walls painted and furniture bought; most of it second hand but absolutely fantastic.
I posted few photos of how the house looked when we went to view it. Slowly I will be posting photos of changes we make and furniture we refurbish.
